Once again, the City of Toronto organized its 16th annual spring cleanup where corporate and community members joined together to participate in the citywide initiative aimed at eliminating litter from public spaces – after the spring thaw. On April 26, the Corporate 20-Minute Makeover took place where businesses across the Toronto Entertainment District took to our streets and parks, whereas community cleanup days took place over the weekend on April 27 and 28.
This event complements our ongoing efforts to maintain a clean and beautiful public realm -known as our year-round Clean Streets Program. During the makeover, businesses such as Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Hyatt Regency, TD Insurance and Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada to name a few, headed out to Toronto Entertainment District parks like Clarence Square Park, Isabella Valancy Crawford Park and Roundhouse Park.
With the district continuously expanding with residents, businesses and visitors, we understand the importance of maintaining a welcoming, livable community clear of litter and graffiti and we’ve made it a top priority to uphold these efforts.
