Raptors Roundup Game Day

Kawhi & Dine. Jurassic Park. The Raptors parades. The Nick Nurse shrine. #WeTheNorth flags plastering office windows across the Toronto Entertainment District and throughout the #6ix. Raptors Mania in Toronto was unavoidable this spring, and if you’re like a lot of people, getting swept up in the playoffs planted a lasting seed of loyalty for Canada’s champions.

We may have lost a few players since then, but The Raptors’ historic win gained the team more than a few forever fans across the nation. Whether or not you’ve been rocking a purple jersey since elementary school or caught your first game this year, we’re all about team spirit. If you’re ready to start the new season as a full-fledged fan, check out these bars and restaurants in the #TorontoED for the best #views of the NBA season opener on October 22.

Raptors Roundup Game Day

It’s official: Toronto’s biggest sports bar has had a full makeover (and re-branding!). The iconic bar and grill still boasts the largest screens for watching the game, but with a totally upgraded vibe. Its new look, courtesy of award-winning Toronto-based DesignAgency is a love letter to the Leafs and Raptors, featuring a colour scheme of burgundy and navy, and metallic accents representing the #trophies they’ve won. The menu also received a full makeover and now focuses on local, sustainable options and abundant vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free fare. Don’t fret though – all your favourite game-time snack classics are still there, and it even has a new pizza program and smoker for items like brisket. Upscale menu, sleek décor and buzzing atmosphere? It’s definitely one of the city’s most unique takes on the traditional sports bar.
